Rwanda is a mountainous country
just south of the equator in central Africa. This tiny, landlocked country is
also the continent's most densely populated. Conflict and civil war between
ethnic Hutus and Tutsis have marked the country's history, but the country has
stabilized considerably and tourism is increasing thanks to its main
attraction of mountain gorilla trekking in Volcano National Park. It has a
comfortable climate year round with an average daytime temperature of 77˚F.
