Botswana offers a variety of flexible itineraries that depend on the kind of experience you would like and the style of accommodation you prefer. Many camps are accessible only by small air chartered flights - a wonderful way to see the the country - and are booked according to your itinerary. Basically there are three types of accommodation (click here for more information on camps and lodges):
Premier Camps are the most luxurious and elegant with fine architecture and stylized accommodation. Rooms or tents are very well appointed and have en-suite bathrooms, additional outdoor showers, salas for midday siestas, private plunge pools, fine furnishings and personal touches. Classic Camps are usually tented camps with superb facilities and accommodation. Tents are slightly smaller than at Premier Camps with en-suite bathrooms and private decks. The tents are usually raised off the ground with inter-connecting walkways. The main lodge areas have a swimming pool, bar and dining area and interesting reading material. The tents at Vintage Camps are situated on the ground with en-suite facilities. These camps are best suited for those seeking the more traditional safari experience.
Overland mobile camping safaris are also available where the accommodation in private campsites consists of large walk-in hexagonal tents or dome tents, beds or bedrolls, crisp sheets and duvets. Flush toilets and bucket shower enclosures open to the sky. Guests are accompanied by a professional guide, chef and camp hand. Meals are prepared by the chef over an open campfire and enjoyed at a table under the trees or stars.

Luxury Safari - 8 nights/9 days

Kings Pool Camp (Premier) overlooks the Kings Pool Lagoon and Linyanti River. The 9 rooms of canvas and thatch are very well appointed, including private plunge pools and salas. The area is know for its large herds of elephants that reach enormous densities in the dry winter months. The contemporary architecture of Vumbura Plains Camp (Premier) offers a completely different feel to Kings Pool. The game viewing and birdlife in this 55,000 hectare concession is exceptional. Mombo Camp (Premier), just off the northern tip of Chief's Island, is built under large trees overlooking a floodplain teaming with wildlife. Game viewing is exciting and arguably the best in Botswana. Wildlife includes lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, elephant, rhino, hyena, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, sable and wildebeest. Jack's Camp (Classic), set in a palm grove, offers a true encounter with the vastness and isolation of the Kalahari Desert and Makgadikgadi pans. Here you can have an interactive encounter with meerkats and see one of Africa's most elusive carnivores, the brown hyena. Activities include day and night drives, walking safaris, hides, boating and mekoros.

Day 1 and 2: From Maun, fly to Kings Pool Camp in the Linyanti Wilderness Area.
Day 3 and 4: Fly to Vumbura Plains Camp in the northern Okavango Delta.
Day 5 and 6: Fly to Mombo Camp in the Moremi Reserve.
Day 7 and 8: Fly to Jack's Camp in the Kalahari Desert.
                Day 9: Fly to Maun.

Classic Safari - 6 nights/7 days

Three different camps in three unique areas. The Chitabe area is on one of the most beautiful islands in the Delta with a large habitat variety and abundance of wildlife including lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, buffalo and elephant. There are three lodging options here: Chitabe Camp (Classic), Chitabe Trails Camp (Classic) with only 5 tents - great for a private party, or Chitabe Walking Trails Camp (Camping Wild!), where nights are spent sleeping out at one of two hides located in different parts of the reserve. Duba Plains Camp (Classic), on an island in a private 30,000 hectare reserve, is known for its lion versus buffalo encounters. The waterhole in front of Savuti Camp (Classic) is the only source of water over a large area in winter and therefore offers outstanding wildlife viewing including from several hides. The "woodpile hide" is famous for up-close encounters with elephants.

Day 1 and 2: From Maun, fly to Chitabe in the south-east of the Okavango Delta.
Day 3 and 4: Fly to Duba Plains Camp
Day 5 and 6: Fly to Savuti Camp in the Linyanti Wilderness Area.
                Day 7: Fly to Maun.
